Welcome on a student weekend tour to Amsterdam and the Dutch bulbfields.
This trip operates over the April/May Bank Holiday weekend and is with 2 nights hotel accommodation in Holland.
This information shows example itineraries to use as a guideline, please note that the order we visit various attractions may change. Please follow the advice of your tour manager and make sure that you are at the various pick up points and departures at the correct times.
Student Top Attractions in Amsterdam & Bruges
Overnight departure by coach and Eurotunnel to Holland arriving in Amsterdam on Saturday morning about 9am.
A breakfast stop will be made before arriving in Amsterdam. On arrival in the city you can begin the day with a trip on the famous canal boats (*extra charge), after which your tour guide will introduce you to the city, including a walking tour of the sights from Dam Square to the Museum District where you will have the opportunity to visit the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum and the Heineken Beer Museum!
At the end of the tour you will have the afternoon to explore the city at leisure before we travel to our hotel for check in early evening.
Hotel Accommodation for 2 nights. Breakfast is included on Sunday and Monday morning. Rooms are based on 3 or 4 people sharing (twin rooms are available at a supplement charge, choose option when booking).

Please book with your guide on the coach before arrival in Amsterdam.
After breakfast there will be an optional tour of Holland including the picturesque Windmills at Zansee Schanns Village, where you can also see a demonstration of clog making (wooden shoes) and sample cheese made at the farm (Edam). We will also take a closer look at the Spring bulbfields. Holland is famous for its tulips and at this time of year the fields are awash with colour. The tour will include a lunch stop in the pretty harbour village of Volendam before returning to Amsterdam for dinner. You can also join our guide for a tour of the famous red light district before we return to the hotel.
If you do not wish to go on the optional tour you will have more time to spend at your leisure in Amsterdam with its many museums and coffee shops.
Bank Holiday Monday:
After breakfast at the hotel we will depart Amsterdam and begin our journey south to the beautiful city of Bruges. Bruges is sometimes known as the Venice of the north because of its canals and beautiful architecture. On arrival in the city your guide will take you on a walking tour showing you the main sights, after the tour you can take a canal cruise or just enjoy its historic squares.
Departure from Bruges is at 4.30pm. The journey will continue to the port of Calais in France for the evening ferry/tunnel back to the UK – with arrival late Monday evening.
London Students Please Note: We will always try to get you back to London in time for the last Tube, sometimes this will not be the case and you will have to arrange other means of transport such as night buses or taxi.

All standard rooms are for 3/4 people sharing. Rooms have an ensuite bathroom and breakfast is included on Sunday morning.
