Portsmouth

Portsmouth is a very old historic city on the south coast of England and has been the home of the Royal Navy for over 500 years. On arrival in Portsmouth your guide will show you some of the oldest parts of the city along with some of the newest. Your guide will take you to the old historic dockyard and tell you about some of the historic ships that you can see, entrance to the ships is not included. After the dock yard you will see one of the newest structures in the city, the Spinnaker Tower which is 550 feet tall.

From Portsmouth ferry port we will cross the part of the English Channel called "The Solent" and make the 45 minute journey to the Isle of Wight.

Isle of Wight

This small island off the south coast of England is a beautiful place to visit. After a short ferry journey from Portsmouth to Fishbourne we will drive through the centre of the island to Godshill village. At this village you will be able to see a lovely typical island scene of old thatched cottages and tea shops. There is also a famous church with a legend that makes it very special. There is also a fantastic model village attraction to visit at a discounted price with us. You will have time for lunch here and to do the model village attraction if you wish.

After this we will travel along the south coast road with magnificent views of the white chalk cliffs and the sea which takes us to the most westerly point at Alum Bay. This has the islands most famous landmark - The Needles. There is also amusements, the multi-coloured beach sands on display and other attractions here to visit.

We will be departing on the ferry from nearby Alum Bay at Yarmouth over to Lymington and the New Forest where we will be able to see the wild ponies and horses roaming free before taking you home.
