Welcome on a student weekend tour to Ireland - Dublin & The Wicklow Mountains.

This information shows example itineraries to use as a guideline.

Student Top Attractions in Ireland

 

Friday evening to Monday evening

Friday - Overnight travel on ferry
Evening departure by coach from the south of England, with a refreshment stop en-route to South Wales and the port of Pembroke. We will take the ferry sailing to Ireland where we will arrive early morning. Cabins are available on-board the ferry at an extra charge should you wish to get a few hours sleep before arrival Saturday morning (approx £15 per person). These can be booked and paid for at the ships reception or you can use the reclining seat lounges free of charge.

Saturday - Day in Dublin
On arrival at the Port of Rosslare in Ireland we will continue our journey by coach to Dublin where we will begin our day with a walking tour of the sights such as the Liffey Bridge, Temple Bar, Trinity College and Guinness Brewery, which you can visit to enter in free time (extra charge). Saturday night in hotel accommodation.

Sunday - Optional Wicklow Mountain Tour - €45/£35
After breakfast you can join our optional tour into the beautiful Wicklow Mountains. Our first stop will be at the ancient Celtic Monastery at Glendolough before continuing to the pretty village of Avoca for lunch. There will be a further stop at Powerscourt Gardens (including admission ticket) and the Sugar Loaf Mountain before we continue back along the coast to Dublin for the evening and an opportunity to enjoy some more traditional Irish hospitality around the famous Temple Bar area.

Those who would like to stay in Dublin will have free time to explore the city or do some shopping at famous Grafton Street or Henry Street. Sunday night in hotel accommodation.

Monday - Return journey home

Early morning check out from the hotel*, then we take the ferry from Dublin port to Holyhead in North Wales and begin our journey home with arrival during Monday evening.

*No breakfast is included at the hotel Monday morning but can be taken on board the ferry during the return crossing.

All rooms are based on 3/4 people sharing with en-suite bathroom and breakfast included on Sunday morning. There is a Tram rail link a few minutes walk from the hotel with direct access to the city centre for those that wish to stay out late in the evening to enjoy some traditional Irish hospitality (Tram ticket is approx €5 return).
