Overnight travel Friday from the UK with arrival in Amsterdam Saturday morning.
The official birthday of the King of the Netherlands, a national holiday in Holland and a time to party!
Throughout the city there will be carnivals and parades along the canals and free music festivals in the parks. Festivities go on throughout the day so you will have time to enjoy this traditional Dutch festival before our check-in at the hotel in the early evening.
A canal boat cruise and a "Red Light District" optional tour is available (extra charge).
After breakfast we head into the Dutch countryside in search of fields of tulips and the picturesque windmills. We will also visit a cheese and clog farm, where you can see a demonstration of traditional clog making (wooden shoes) and sample Edam cheese made at the farm.
Holland is famous for its tulips and at this time of year the fields are full with colour. Depending on the harvest, and the weather, we will make stops amoungst the bulbfields for photographs before we continue back to the UK.
Arrival in the UK will be Sunday night, early hours of Monday morning.
Optional extras are also available, but they are not included in the tour price.
Optional room upgrades available at extra cost. All standard rooms are for 3/4 people sharing. Rooms have an ensuite bathroom and breakfast is included on Sunday morning.
