Bournemouth beach is 7 miles of golden sand and one of the best in the UK, winning awards in the past. Nearby the beach area is a beautiful gardens area, a bird aviary and also art displays.
You also have a huge selection of shops and restaurants to choose from nearby. Another option for your free time is the Russell Cotes Museum full of treasures and art from around the world, its located on the cliff top overlooking the Bournemouth Bay giving amazing views.
Oceanarium: 10 recreated environments including Amazon and Great Barrier Reef. Interactive virtual dive cage to see dolphins, sharks and more. Hundreds of sea creatures to see inside. £10 approx entrance.
Parish Church of St Peter: See the impressive main Bournemouth church in Gothic Revival style founded in 1879, where the author of "Frankenstein", Mary Shelley is buried.
Shopping: Visit The Square, the main commercial area
Russell Cotes Museum: Art gallery and museum featuring Japanese art, sculptures and more. £5 donation suggested.
Timing: Bournemouth arrival 12 - 12:30 approx
Walking tour for 45 minutes around the commercial area, gardens and to the beach.
Free time to have lunch and do what you wish, to enjoy the show taking place above you - timings of air festival displays will be given to you on the day.
Depart Bournemouth at 5pm back home to arrive in Oxford by 7 to 7.30pm
